Just returned from Ireland after a week Bass fishing with John Quinlan

How I wish we had this warm weather in Ireland last week.Arrived on Saturday 17th St Patrick’s Day!foggy and bit overcast, had a look around at all of the local marks, then Ireland vs England Rugby so a good start.Sunday bright light winds 2 Bass 1 on soft plastic lure then 1 on the flyrod what a buzz!.Salmon fishing in the afternoon ,3 parr no salmon a great day.Monday weather windy and overcast unable to flyfish went Bass fishing using peeler crabs caught a couple one about 5 or 6 lbs spawned out what a fight, shame it wasn,t on the fly rod.Tuesday Seatrout fishing in the sea but no fish ,back to the Bass but really beaten by the weather no fish .Wednesday Seatrout fishing in the Estuary ,one small Seatrout on spinner (too windy for Flyfishing) tried other marks but no more fish, rain and wind in the afternoon back to bait fishing for Bass 1 fish.Thursday a bit brighter, but windy,a long trek to go Pollack fishing of of the cliffs, caught 1 on a shad (lure),no fish on the flyrod (shame) Bass fishing in the afternoon no fish.Friday windy and wet tried several marks ,too windy to fish most, managed 1 more bass.If the weather had been warmer (we had temperatures of around 8 or 9degs) then we would have managed a lot more fish. Please visit John Quinlan’s website at http://www.thatchcottgeireland.co.uk and see what I mean, what a FANTASTIC Guide, what a FANTASTIC country,I MUST return
